Other Websites of Interest
  • MN CAM Law Office - The website for the office within the MN Department of Health which is supposed to oversee Massage Therapy and other CAM modalities in MN. Currently the operations of this office have been suspended by Gov. Pawlenty's budgetary unallotments. This means clients of CAM practitioners in MN are completely unprotected. There is more on this law and the change on the "MN CAP Law" page of this site.
  • Find Your State Representatives - In MN we have a "Citizen Democracy". This means the people we elect as House and Senate members are regular folks like us. They have other jobs, and live in the community from which they are elected. This also means they are at our level. So when you call or email them, don't be nervous. They are there to represent you - tell them what you want them to say! Otherwise they will just assume they know, and based on the fact that we've been trying to get a state credential for almost 20 years, they need to hear from you - left to their own devices, they're getting it wrong.
  • Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge Project - This website has all the information about the effort to create a Body of Knowledge document for the Massage Therapy profession.
  • Massage and Bodywork Professionals Blog and Chatroom -
A gigantic social network with online discussion groups focusing on different topics, modalities, states, etc. Membership is free.
  • Yola - Formerly known as Synthasite, the website design company that hosts this site. Great for folks who have never done any web design - they give great feedback and I.T. support in language that is understandable. And they have a free hosting option.
  • Havidol - Good for a laugh - A website for a fictional pharmaceutical that takes a satirical look at drug advertising.
